To Apollon (Thargelia 2011)
Your celestial name is no longer your own
Spoken by millions in ignorant moans
More famous as rocket ship than as a God
An Olympian proud, besmirched as a fraud
Temple attracts less than your namesake theatre
Oil works, horses, towns, even craters
No more is it spoken with love or with fear
Your identity even, abused through the years
But some still yet know you as you should be known
The same you were then, our God of the bow
A lord of the sun, of light and of art
Brother to Artemis, the twin of your heart
Respect and our worship are all we can give
The least we can do for the lives that we live
You guide and you nurture, you l
I am an artist, poet and priestess of Apollon. All art posted here is copyrighted by me. If you want to use something please ask! I do commissions, in fact the majority of my work is usually commissions. I paint, sculpt statues and shrine plaques, as well as doing various kinds of drawings.
Just as a for your information kind of thing...my blog (which is dedicated to Apollon but covers other aspects of my worship as a Hellenic) can be found at: http://lykeiaofapollon.wordpress.com
Since I dont typically make journal entries on this account I thought perhaps to make this one available to those who might be interested in following some of my thoughts on religious matters which I illustrate in my art.
For inexpensive downloads of my art (that can be individually printed at your local shop such as Kinkos, Staples, Walmart etc) please visit my storefront at lulu.com

As always, original paintings are for sale unless otherwise noted as not for sale or as commissions. See my site description for pricings.
The following paintings are still for sale: Poseidon, The Lamp of Demeter, and Ares. I am always willing to personally do prints of any of the paintings in the archives which are NOT commissions. Also I do take commissions which are at this time the same price as buying an original premade.
